Last Sunday, Big Brother eliminated the custodian challenge, which gave the custodians of the week the power to save or evict the nominated housemates, leaving the power of eviction to the viewers alone.
On Monday, during the nominations, five couples, Zinwe, Chekas, Doubleday, Beta and WanniXHandi, were at risk of being evicted and their fate was in the hands of the viewers.
Zinwe received five nominations from her fellow housemates during the nominations ceremony, the highest number so far.
On stage, host Ebuka announced that Zinwe, consisting of Zion and Chinwe, would be leaving the “No Loose Guard” season. They are the fifth couple to be evicted from the reality show this season.
The eviction, determined by viewers’ votes, resulted in the bottom three spots among the five nominated couples: Chekas with 17.34%, Beta with 14.04% and Zinwe with 12.76%. READ ALSO: BBNaija: Team Flourish, Team Streeze, Season 9 Winners Predicted
The remaining nine couples will now compete for the grand prize, which will be decided by the affection and votes of the spectators.
This year’s BBNaija season kicked off on July 27 and featured 28 housemates divided into 14 teams. The contest will run for 71 days and will end on October 6. The winner of the 2024 season will take home a grand prize of N100 million.
