Must Read

The Zamfara State Police confirmed that bad guys called bandits were hurt and chased away when they attacked two villages in Gusau, the big town of the state.

The police also said they saved seven people who were kidnapped over the weekend in two places called Damba and a new area behind Karma Hotel in Gusau.

Among the kidnapped people were Pastor Isa Andrew from All Saints Police Protestant Church and his daughter. They were taken from their home near Karma Hotel early Monday morning by these armed bandits.

The top police officer in the state, Mohammed Dalijan, spoke in Hausa and confirmed this news during a meeting at the police station in Gusau.

He said, “We have put out fifty-three police cars to patrol the streets. We are working hard to make the state safe and stop the bad guys.”

Dalijan also said the police are always working to find the kidnappers and make sure the kidnapped people are brought back safely.

Previously, DAILY POST reported that two pastors in Gusau were kidnapped in less than a month by armed men.

Pastor Andrew was kidnapped just eight days after another church leader, Reverend Father Mikah Suleiman from St Raymond Catholic Church Damba, was freed. Suleiman had been held for sixteen days by kidnappers.

Lastly, the police chief asked the general public to help the police by sharing important information quickly and on time.
