A 55-year-old woman named Ifeoma fainted and died while telling her story at her church.
It happened during a Sunday church service in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State.
Benjamin Hundeyin, who talks for the police, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) about it on Wednesday.
The church accountant said Ifeoma was singing and sharing her story when she suddenly fainted.
They quickly took her to a nearby hospital, but she was sent to a bigger hospital in Isolo, where doctors said she had died.
The police spokesperson also mentioned that when officers got to the hospital, they learned that her husband and family had already taken her body to Anambra State, where she came from, for burial.
The report did not say the name of the church where this sad event happened.
