Wildfires interrupt 12 television productions in Los Angeles

The current wildfires in Los Angeles have caused the interruption of several television productions.

Tribune Online reports that the county Fire Department estimates that more than 1,000 structures have been destroyed in the Palisades fire, and another 1,000 damaged or destroyed in the Eaton fire.

Due to this incident, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences postponed the announcement of this year's Oscar nominations.

FilmLA, the organization responsible for issuing filming permits in the region, also posted an alert stating that “staffing resources normally available to support film production may not be available during the local state of emergency.”
