Why do I lead my church in an unconventional way?

Must Read

Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, founder of SPAC Nation, recently spoke about his journey as a minister and the unorthodox methods he employs in running his church.

His comments came during an appearance on Channels TV Politics Today on Monday evening, December 16, 2024.

Adegboyega shared that he grew up as a pastor's son and started preaching at the age of 8.

He explained that his sense of purpose as a minister deepened after his arrival in the UK in 2005, where he witnessed alarming levels of gang violence among young Nigerians in Peckham, many of whom were armed with knives.

Determined to make a difference, Adegboyega set out to steer these young people away from crime and offer them a sense of purpose.

Adegboyega emphasized that a true vocation involves meeting the needs of a generation, a mission to which he has dedicated himself since his arrival in the United Kingdom.

“A calling is to respond to the needs of a generation, and that's what I've been doing since 2005,” he said.

When asked about the unconventional nature of his ministry, Adegboyega defended his approach, stating that while his methods may be considered unorthodox, what really matters is their effectiveness.

He noted the positive impact his leadership has had on many young people, particularly those who have been inspired to leave destructive lifestyles behind.
