What About Us, is the first movie made by Pastor Emmanuel Iren from Celebration Church International. This movie has earned over N100 million in Nigerian cinemas, making it the seventh movie in 2024 to do so.
As per the Nigerian Box Office, the movie has made N99.9 million so far. Between August 3-5, it made another N6.3 million, making its total N85.2 million by then.
On its first weekend, What About Us made N24.6 million. The movie started showing on July 12, 2024.
This movie is special for Emmanuel Iren because it’s his first as a top producer. He is also the leading pastor at Celebration Church International.

The Nigerian audience loves Nollywood movies, and the film makers of What About Us have done successful jobs before. Director Kayode Kasum has made movies that earned over N1 billion. For instance, his 2019 movie Sugar Rush is the fourth highest-earning Nigerian movie ever. His latest work Ajosepo made over N250 million this year.

Nollywood movies now account for 51.7% of all movie tickets sold and 48.2% of all box office money.
If this trend continues, 2024 might be a record year for Nollywood. By now, Nigerian cinemas have made N6 billion. The average ticket price is N3,900.
