West Bromwich Albion’s boss, Carlos Corberán, is very happy with Josh Maja’s hard work and not giving up.
Last season, Maja didn’t play much for the Baggies in the Sky Bet Championship because he was injured.
But now, Maja is back and he’s become a very important player for the team this season.
He even scored a goal in West Brom’s 3-1 win against Portsmouth on Sunday.
This was Maja’s fifth goal of the season.
In the top four leagues in England, only the famous Manchester City player, Erling Haaland, has scored more goals than Maja.
Corberán said after the Portsmouth game, “We know Josh is very important to us. Last year, he missed many games because he got hurt twice in the same spot.”
“While others were taking a break, Josh kept working very hard to be as good as he is now.
“In life, things don’t happen by accident; they happen because of your choices. Josh’s strong mind, effort, and hard work are bringing him good results now.”
