The president of the state of Oyo of the National Union of Transport Workers on the road (Nurtw), Alhaji Abideen Olajide, popularly called Ejiogbe, has said that the group of Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as Oluomo Nurtw.
Ejiogbe, a Nurtw National Administrator, who was flanked by Comrade Lekan Alesinloye, Alhaji Lateef Bello and others at a press conference on Thursday in Ibadan, claimed that MC Oluomo and Samuel Kayode Agbeyangi had held meetings with notable members of a political party In Ibadan.
According to Ejiogbe, “these people arrived in Ibadan and celebrated a series of meetings, one of which was with a chief of a particular political party.
“For the registration, they are in a sinister mission to create tension in the motor parks and cause confusion between the residents of Ibadan and the state in general,” Alhaji Abideen Exiogbe added.
“We do not need any illegal group to beg the governor to restore us in motor parks as leaders and union members. His excellence, Governor Seyi Makinde, is ours, and we are participating in discussions while we expect the official recognition of our leadership to support the generation of income from the State in due time.

“Those who have lost Musiliu Akinsanya and Koyode Agbeyangi, which were reported that they assaulted Ibadan on Tuesday, are prohibited from people in regards to the leadership of our union.
“We know each other in the state of Oyo, and our governor is aware that there is an ongoing judicial case. From the supposed proscription of Nurtw in the state, we have been following all the legal routes to solve our problems with the state government, and we believe that reason is already prevailing with its excellence.
“We have been in this fight for about six years and we have never resorted to self -help, but we have participated in the dialogue with the Government. The matter we have in court with the state government is ongoing, and we remain respectful citizens of the law, just like our governor, ”said Ejiogbe.
“Your excellence should not allow these elements to destabilize the peace of our State. What they (oluomo and their gang) seek is to create greater chaos in Ibadan and the state in general.
“We are still committed to the presidency of Alhaji Tajudeen Baruwa because he is Nurtw's de facto president in the eyes of the law and for the popular demand of the members in the southwest states and throughout the Federation,” said Ejiogbe.
