The leader of the Flying Eagles team, Daniel Bameyi, says they want to win the WAFU B U-20 Championship trophy again.
Two years ago, Nigeria won this prize in Niamey, Niger Republic.
The team, led by coach Aliyu Zubairu, is ready to play against the Black Satellites from Ghana in the final match happening today in Lome.
Bameyi shared that they are very excited and determined to keep their title as champions.
“We are really happy to reach the final match again, so there’s one last step to take,” said Bameyi, who plays as a defender for Bayelsa United.
“We really want to win the cup, we think we want it more than Ghana does, and we will try our hardest to win it and bring it back home.”
