Tesla owner Elon Musk has raised concerns about the UK's criminal justice system, accusing the country of releasing convicted pedophiles from prison while jailing people for critical comments made on Facebook.
In an interview that has since gone viral on X, Musk questioned the priorities of British authorities in handling serious criminal cases.
According to him, the UK has taken a lenient approach towards dangerous criminals, including convicted pedophiles, while punishing people for expressing their opinions online.
He specifically addressed the issue of migrant rape gangs in England, alleging that these gangs were operating freely, attacking girls and committing heinous crimes.
The technology entrepreneur expressed disbelief that, despite the seriousness of such crimes, people who expressed their objections to these criminal activities on social media were imprisoned for their posts, while those who committed the crimes were released from prison.
He said: “In Britain, I kid you not, how can this be real? They are releasing convicted pedophiles from prison to jail people for Facebook posts.
“There were, and this is kind of a fact finding, there were immigrant rape gangs in England that would run around you and prey on girls, gang rape them. And some people found what should be objectionable and then got upset about it, so they complained online and were sent to prison.”
