President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, the White House said in a statement Thursday. The News Agency of Nigeria quoted White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as saying in a statement that Biden is “vaccinated and boosted and is experiencing mild symptoms.”

According to the statement, the positive test came after an event attended by Biden in Nevada.
