President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19, the White House said in a statement Thursday. The News Agency of Nigeria quoted White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as saying in a statement that Biden is “vaccinated and boosted and is experiencing mild symptoms.”
According to the statement, the positive test came after an event attended by Biden in Nevada.

According to the statement, Biden's doctor reportedly said the president had shown “upper respiratory symptoms” in the afternoon, including a runny nose and cough. The 81-year-old president last tested positive for COVID-19 in 2022. At the time, he was suffering only mild symptoms, according to the White House.
