Ujah Advocates for Appointment as Permanent Super Eagles Coach

Must Read

Anthony Ujah, who used to play for the Super Eagles, thinks Augustine Eguavoen should be the team’s new head coach.

Right now, Eguavoen is the temporary manager of the Super Eagles.

This month, Eguavoen led the team in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games against Benin and Rwanda.

But, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is still looking to hire a coach from another country.

Ujah believes Eguavoen should get the coaching job for good.

“The team is changing coaches, moving from José Peseiro to a new one,” Ujah said to Brila FM.

“I’m very happy that Eguavoen is the temporary manager right now.

“I don’t know how long he’ll stay, but he is a good person, and the players like him.”

Next month, Eguavoen is also expected to lead the Super Eagles in a match against the Mediterranean Knights of Libya.
