Twelve People Perish in Ogun Road Accident

A terrible thing happened on Tuesday. Twelve people lost their lives in a car accident on Malo Ogere, Lagos-Ibadan expressway.

The accident happened around 3:14 pm. A white Mazda bus with the number DDA733XA was involved.

Florence Okpe, who speaks for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), shared the sad news. The rescue team from FRSC Ogere Unit Command came to help.

Okpe explained that there were 16 people in the bus. There were 12 men, 3 women, and 1 little girl.

She said: “A total of 16 people were in the bus. Four men were hurt and taken to Patmag Hospital in Ogere. Sadly, the other 12 people died in the fire.”

Okpe said the accident happened because the bus driver tried to overtake another vehicle the wrong way. This made the driver lose control and hit the divider in the road.

The bus then fell over and caught fire very quickly.
