Turkey: Osimhen Eases Injury Concerns, Celebrates End of Goal Drought

Must Read

Victor Osimhen told us why he left the game in Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw with Kasimpasa.

The Nigerian player scored two goals in the first half of the exciting match.

But after halftime, he was replaced by Dries Mertens.

Some people worried that Victor might be hurt and not able to play for a while.

Victor, who is 25, explained he felt a little bit of discomfort during the game.

“It’s not a big injury. I just felt a little uncomfortable. I thought I should tell my coach so I wouldn’t hurt the team. If I stayed and got worse, it would be bad for everyone. I told Mauro and the coach, and that’s why I left the game,” Victor said on the club’s website.

Galatasaray gave up their three-goal lead and ended up tying the game.

Victor was glad he scored his first two goals for the team but was sad about the game’s result.

“As a team, we’re not happy. We should have gotten three points. Football is like that sometimes. You can play well and still not win,” Victor added.

“I’m happy with the two goals I scored. But we’re all upset about the tie. We need to work harder and aim to win the next match. I’m proud of how I played, but we have to do better in future games.”
