Must Read

The Nigerian Army has caught nine people who were stealing oil and took away seven cars and eight motorcycles they were using. Let’s talk about what happened and why it’s important! 🤔

On social media, the Nigerian Army shared that they also found four big trucks, many pumping machines, and over 221,000 liters of stolen oil. That’s a lot, right? Imagine lots and lots of big bottles filled with oil 🌊.

So, how did they do this? Well, the soldiers from the 6 Division Nigerian Army worked very hard. They moved around creeks (small rivers), waterways, and tiny streams to stop the bad guys from moving around freely in the Niger Delta Region. Think of these areas like the secret paths where the bad guys were hiding 🧭.

When the soldiers worked with other security helpers in different places, they found and stopped over 37 illegal oil-making spots. They also found 10 places where oil was being stolen and destroyed six wooden boats that carried the oil.

📍

In Rivers State, near the Imo River around Owaza and Odogwa Creeks, they grabbed over 15,000 liters of stolen oil from a big wooden boat.

📍

At Okoloma and Obuzor Creeks, they found nine illegal oil spots and stopped them. They destroyed five wooden boats and many motorcycles and took away over 13,000 liters of stolen oil.

📍

On Ebocha Ndoni Road, they found a big container with over 8,500 liters of stolen oil and 116 big bags with over 7,000 liters of stolen oil. Wow! That’s a lot of oil!

They also found more stuff! 10 empty metal barrels, 10 metal pipes, and one motorcycle. They caught one person driving a Toyota Camry car with over 2,000 liters of stolen oil. This car had the registration number KTU 423 EC Lagos 🚗.

On Ndoni Obiafo Road, a thief tried to run away but left behind a Toyota Sienna car with registration number Lagos EPE 789 JC filled with stolen oil. And they found a Volvo car with no number plate carrying 36 big bags of stolen oil, estimated to be over 2,000 liters.

This action by the Nigerian Army helps keep the community safe by stopping bad guys from stealing oil. Great job, Nigerian Army! 👏
