Famous actress Toyin Abraham has shared her side of the story after a fashion designer accused her on social media.
A designer named @stitchesbyandra claimed Toyin Abraham, along with Annie Idibia and Gabriel Anthony, owed her a large sum of money for over a year.
The designer posted on her Instagram, saying, “Toyin, Annie, and Gabriel, I am losing patience. It’s been over one year. How can you owe someone so much money and not pay back?”
Toyin responded to these claims with her own Instagram post on a Friday night, telling her side of the story.
She said, “Hello everyone, I want to talk about the recent talk about owing money to a fashion designer. People have misunderstood what happened. When we were working on the movie ‘Malaika,’ we needed dresses for a runway scene. We asked several designers, including someone named Tiannah, to give us dresses to use.
“Also, Gabriel, who is part of the team, said his friend wanted to help by giving us some dresses. She did, and I also bought a hairpiece from her, which I paid for completely. The dresses she lent us were for the shoot, and after we finished filming, I gave them back to Gabriel, who returned them.
“After seeing what was said online, I called Gabriel right away to find out what happened. Gabriel told the designer that the dresses were returned to him and then borrowed by someone else. So, it’s not my responsibility anymore. I hope this clears things up.”
