The government in Lagos State has given news about a report from the United States about famous singer Mohbad, who has passed away.
On October 21, 2024, Lawal Pedro SAN, the Lagos State Attorney General, talked to reporters. This happened at the Ministry of Justice Conference Room in Ikeja. He spoke about this report while celebrating his first year in office.
The government wants to find out who was responsible for Mohbad’s death. Pedro mentioned that the investigation took a long time, which is why there has been a delay.
He said, “In the Mohbad case, there has been a delay due to the time needed for the investigation.”
“Examining things carefully and testing for poisons are steps in the investigation. We need strong proof to make sure anyone guilty can be punished in court.”
“We now have the reports from the United States. The information from the tests is with the Lagos State Pathologist and the Coroner magistrate.”
“The delay now is because Mohbad’s family wants to do their tests. But even with this, the trial will begin soon, and the court will treat the matter fairly,” said Pedro.
