Reno Omokri, former assistant of former President Goodluck Jonathan, has declared that Nigerians are now safer than before President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed the position in 2023.
Omokri announced this in a shared statement in his official X account on Wednesday.
According to him, Nigeria is witnessing significant improvements in the key sectors under the administration of President Tinubu, including security.
He pointed out that the main infrastructure projects are constantly progressing, including the Sokoto -Badagry road, which has now reached the state of Kebbi, and the coastal road Lagos -Calabar, which is approaching the state of Ondo.
Omokri added that fuel prices have continued to decrease, now averaging N800 per liter, while some 400,000 students are currently benefiting from the student loan scheme.
He also declared that the national minimum wage has increased to N70,000, and although food prices remain high, they have begun to decrease slightly. He pointed out that inflation has decreased significantly from 34.80 percent to 24.48 percent as of February 2025.
Regarding electricity, Omokri declared that the generation of energy has reached a historical maximum of 6,003 megawatts, the highest in Nigeria's history.
He added that federal assignments to states have doubled or tripled in many cases, and that deaths resulting from terrorism and insecurity have fallen to their lower levels since 2014.
In addition, he noted that Nigeria's economy grew 3.8 percent in 2024 and registered a strong increase in the commercial surplus of N6.09 billion in 2023 to N18.86 billion in 2024, which represents an increase of 209.6 percent.

However, he argued that with these achievements, it would be reckless for citizens to abandon current progress by voting for other candidates who, according to him, lack the ability to maintain the profits obtained so far.
He wrote: “The Sokoto-Badagry road has reached the state of Kebbi and is progressing daily. The Lagos-Calabar coastal highway is now approaching the state of Ondo. Fuel prices have dropped and still fall to an average of ₦ 800 per liter. Four hundred thousand students access student loans. The minimum wage is now ₦ 70,000. Food prices decrease slightly, while inflation was seismically reduced from 34.80% to 24.48% in February 2025. Energy generation is in a historical maximum of 6.003MW, the highest in our history.
