President Bola Tinubu on Thursday received the Chinese Foreign Minister, Wang Yi, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, is currently in Nigeria for a two-day working visit.
During the meeting, discussions are expected to focus on the Memorandum of Understanding signed at the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation held in China. Additionally, key topics such as the economy, politics and the oil and gas sectors will be covered.

Following the meeting, Nigerian Foreign Minister Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, along with Yi, is expected to address the press.
Also attending were the President's Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Minister of Information, Idris Mohammed; and Tuggar, among others.
