The troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have successfully neutralized a notorious king of bandits, Ibrahim Kaboni, along with eight of its combatants in a well -coordinated ambush near the Keta village, the area of the Tsafe local government of the state of Zamfara.
According to intelligence sources available for Zagazola Makama, the ambush was executed on the night of April 16, 2025, by troops of the 1 Brigade in collaboration with other security agencies, after a surveillance sustained in the group's movement.
The meeting led to a fierce shooting battle, during which Kaboni and his men were shot dead while trying to flee. Others managed to escape with gunshot wounds.
Kaboni had long been in the security observation list for his participation in numerous attacks, kidnappings and incidents of cattle whisper in Tsafe and its surroundings.
