A Toyota Mazda bus with BKN 332 XB (Lagos) registration number, loaded with tables, has collided with an oil tanker that transports 45,000 liters of Premium motor spirit (PM), also known as gasoline.
The bus and the oil tanker caught fire as a result of the collision.
Daily Post met that the incident occurred along the Oyo-Gbomoso highway.

It was learned that the bus hit the oil tanker, which was parked along the road due to a mechanical failure, from the rear.
The general manager of the Fire Service of the State of Oyo, Mr. YEMI Akinyinka, when he was contacted, confirmed the incident.
Akinyinka, in a statement made available to the Daily Post on Sunday, said both vehicles were completely burned.
He said that the agency's men were immediately mobilized to the incident scene.
He added that no victims were recorded.
He said: “The unfortunate incident was reported exactly at 4:36 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
“The agency staff, led by ACFS heard, immediately deployed on the scene. Upon arrival, we find a gasoline towing oil tanker with GMB 174 JB (GOMBE) registration number, loaded with 45,000 liters of PMS, and a Toyota Mazda bus with the registration number BKN 332 xb (lakes), loaded with planks, both engulfed in the fire.
“We quickly took measures by applying a chemical foam compound, and other precautionary measures were taken to avoid an explosion. The fire was completely extinguished after an hour of intense fire extinguishing operations.
“The fire affected both the petrol oil and the bus. There were no victims, but the vehicles were burned.
“Our research revealed that the trailer's oil tanker was parked by the road due to mechanical failures, while the speed bus hit it from the rear, causing the fire.”
