The members of the DKA community in the state of Kaduna have asked Governor Uba Sani, demanding an exhaustive investigation into the mysterious death of Ahmed Musa, a secondary senior student (SS2) in Technical Government College, Malali.
According to the reports, Ahmed, son of the journalist and activist Musa Muhammed, was found dead within the school facilities on Sunday, February 16, 2025. His father, in a statement, claimed that his son was “brutally murdered by a unknown person. ” According to Muhammed, Ahmed's body had signs of brutalization and strangulation, which raises concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death.
In response, the Kaduna Doka (KDDA) development association has written a request to Governor Sani, entitled “Urgent appeal for Justice in the murder of one of the children of our members (Ahmed Musa) in Technical College, Malali”. The group, through its president, Sani Rabiu Bako, expressed a deep pain for the incident, stating that the murder of the promising student has left the family and the community in trouble.
“This atrocious act has not only devastated the victim's family, but has also deeply affected our entire community,” Bako said. “Ahmed Musa was brutally murdered in circumstances that remain without being clear, but we are obliged to seek the intervention of the governor to ensure that those responsible for this crime are taken before justice.”
Bako emphasized that the KDDA has long committed to promote peace and unity within the community, but the recent incident has raised serious concerns about security, particularly in educational institutions. “We believe that the rapid action of your office can restore confidence in the justice system and send a strong message that such acts of violence will not be tolerated,” he added.
In his request, the association urged the governor to order the relevant authorities to carry out an exhaustive investigation and stop the guilty. Copies of the petition were also sent to the Police Commissioner, the Education Commissioner, the Department of State Services (DSS) and other security agencies.
“We request that measures be established to avoid similar incidents in the future. The increase in the presence of security, the best surveillance and improved community surveillance can help guarantee the safety of our children and young people, ”said Bako.
Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Kaduna State Police command, DSP Mansir Hassan, confirmed that the police are investigating the matter.
