The Bauchi government press team urged to defend the truth, democratic

The members of the press team of the Bauchi government have been remembered that their work is important more than ever, since they are not only personnel from the media but also custodians of truth, development promoters and champions of democratic values.

This statement was made by the special advisor of the Governor of the State of Bauchi, Senator Bala Mohammed Abdulkadir, about media and advertising, Comrade Mukhtar Gidide, in an opening speech presented at the opening ceremony of a two -day retreat for the Government Press team, held in Kano on Sunday.

He emphasized: “We have joined under the subject:” Improvement of effective and efficient coverage of government activities for sustainable growth and development. “This issue is not only timely but deeply relevant, especially as we sail in a quick media panorama and a public sphere increasingly driven by real -time information, citizen participation and demands of transparency and responsibility.”

He expressed his appreciation to the governor, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, whose visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence have made imperative that media professionals update their ability to match the rhythm of unprecedented achievements of their administration.

According to him, “it is registered that, since I assumed the position as a special advisor in media and advertising, I have put a high priority in the construction of the intellectual and professional capacity of the members of our crew. This retirement is the third of its kind and only sponsored by the government of the state of Bauchi under the inspiring leadership of the governor Balance Mohammed.”

The media wizard added that the press crew of the Government's house occupies a unique and vital place in the state communication ecosystem. “You are not mere observers; you are real transporters, narrators of progress and defenders of public trust.”

“Through their lenses, microphones, pens and keyboards, the citizens of the state of Bauchi and, in fact, Nigeria obtain information on the functioning of the government, the political decisions of their excellence and the development advances that are carried out in all sectors,” he added.

Mukhtar Gidide emphasized that in an era where erroneous information and sensationalism threaten the very basis of responsible journalism, the importance of professionalism, ethical behavior and integrity cannot be exaggerated.

He reminded them: “You are the first line of defense against the distortion of the facts, and you are also the first voices in the configuration of the public perception of the administration.”

In addition, he said: “It is in recognition of this great responsibility that we have organized this withdrawal to sharpen our skills, renew our commitment to ethical journalism and reflect on how we can continue serving as ambassadors worthy of the government's house.”

“Therefore, it is important for each and every one of us to recognize that, as members of the fourth state of the kingdom, we are the mirror of society, and society in return we expect a lot from us. Therefore, we must avoid the biased report of the events and remain firm in our professional vocation, since the largest society is also observing,” he added.

Then he declared: “The ball is with us. Or we play it well using the tip of our pen, or destroy it, and as a result of our carelessness, society will remain condemned. God does not want it.”

Mukhtar Gidide reflected on the notable achievements of his leader and mentor, his excellence, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed. “From his first term to his second ongoing mandate, Governor Bala has constantly demonstrated a rare combination of political sagacity, administrative brilliance and unwavering passion for the provision of services.”

He added: “Under its administration, the state of Bauchi has witnessed a transformative revolution in the infrastructure, with more than 1,000 kilometers of constructed and rehabilitated roads, connecting rural communities with urban centers and the opening of new economic corridors.”

“The education sector has received strategic investments in school renovation, teachers recruitment and the construction of new model schools, ensuring that our children are not only in school but are learning in conducive environments.”

The provision of medical care has also received an impulse with the construction of new primary health centers, the revitalization of general hospitals and the deployment of qualified personnel throughout the state.

In agriculture, farmers have benefited from the support of inputs, mechanization programs and access to credit, positioning Bauchi as an agrarian center on the rise in northern Nigeria.

“Perhaps the most commendable is the governance centered on the people of Governor Bala Mohammed, including, including, transparent and participatory.
