Struggles: APC in Zamfara Advises Against Proposed Protest over Security Concerns

Must Read

The Zamfara State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has advised people not to join an upcoming nationwide protest. They believe bad people might take over the protest and cause trouble.

The State party leader, Tukur Umar Danfulani, said the APC leaders from all 36 states and the National Working Committee, led by Abdullahi Ganduje, discussed this in a recent meeting. They are worried about the planned protest causing safety issues.

In a statement given to journalists in Gusau on Saturday, Danfulani said there is a risk that criminals might control the protest and make things worse for everyone.

“We should think carefully before joining protests. Protests in other countries have caused more problems than they solved,” he said.

“For example, in Sudan, people protested about bread prices. Now, bread costs five times more, and many properties, hospitals, and businesses were destroyed. Many people became homeless and had to move to other places,” he explained.

“The same thing happened in Libya, Syria, and recently in Kenya. It’s better to talk and find solutions through discussions instead of protests that could lead to chaos,” he added.

“Yes, protesting is a right. But have we tried all other ways to solve the problem peacefully?” he asked.

“As Muslims, our religion does not like protests. We can’t predict the damage protests might cause, so finding other ways to settle issues is better,” he noted.

“Our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, listens to people and is working hard to improve Nigeria for everyone,” he stated.

“He even took Nigerian governors to the supreme court to ensure local governments work well. This move aims to end problems like unemployment, insecurity, and hardship,” he said.

“Let’s support him with good thoughts and prayers for the sake of future generations,” he encouraged.

“We are smart people. Don’t let those who live comfortably abroad push us into trouble. They comment on social media but will never join the protests,” he warned.

“Life is precious, and peace is valuable. Let’s stay united and work together for a better future,” he concluded.
