Halima Adamu, the mother of famous Hausa singer Dauda Kahutu, also known as Rarara, is now free after being kidnapped for almost three weeks.

On June 28, Halima was taken from her home in Kahutu village, Danja area, Katsina State.

Early Wednesday morning, Rarara shared on Instagram that his mother is back home safely, and he thanked God for it.

“ALHAMDULILLAH! ALHAMDULILLAH!! ALHAMDULILLAH!!! By God’s grace, our mother is back home safely.

“I am very thankful to God. Thank you to my family and friends. Thank you to my fans all over the world. I don’t have enough words to thank you all. May Allah bless you and keep us close,” Rarara said.

Rarara did not say if they had to pay money to get his mother back. Right now, Halima is getting medical help at a hospital in Abuja.

When Halima was taken on June 28, it was very quiet. People in the village said there were no gunshots, and it only took a few minutes. The kidnappers only took Rarara’s mother and did not harm anyone else.

Rarara, who was born in Katsina, became very popular for singing during the All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign events in Kano before the 2023 general election.

In March 2023, some bad people broke into his house in Kano and set it on fire.
