Seyi Law Praises Tinubu for Eliminating Fuel Subsidy

Must Read

Nigerian actor and comedian Oluwaseyitan Aletile, who many know as Seyi Law, thinks President Bola Tinubu made a good choice by getting rid of the fuel subsidy.

Even though taking away the subsidy has made life tougher for lots of people, Seyi Law believes it will help everyone in Nigeria in the long run.

He said that the fuel subsidy should have been stopped a long time ago. Seyi Law thinks that if it had been stopped back in 2012, when Goodluck Jonathan was president, and Tinubu and his party didn’t agree with it, people in Nigeria might already be free from this issue.

“We should have removed the fuel subsidy years ago. If it happened in 2012, we would have dealt with the hard times, and now we would be getting better,” he explained.

“Back in 2012, I was the only famous person to speak on stage against those who wanted to keep the fuel subsidy. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala said the country was struggling and couldn’t pay its workers without borrowing money,” he remembered.
