Serie A: Gasperini Addresses Unforeseen Lookman Transfer Drama

Must Read

Atalanta’s coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, was surprised by what happened with Ademola Lookman.

Lookman, a player for Atalanta (also called La Dea), didn’t want to play in the first game of the season against Leece. This happened because a big team from France called Paris Saint-Germain was interested in him.

Earlier, another player, Teun Koopmeiners, also wanted to leave the team to join a famous Italian team, Juventus, and didn’t want to play.

Despite these problems, Atalanta won against Leece with a score of 4-0 on Monday night.

After the game, Gasperini talked about the situations with Lookman and Koopmeiners.

“Honestly, no one thought we would be in this situation. Right now, I have to take things one day at a time. I had some ideas after the Super Cup, but then we faced these issues, including Scamacca getting hurt,” he told Sky Sport Italia.

“I don’t know what will happen in the next 10 days before the transfer window closes. My job is to build the best team I can and see with the club what players we might need. We won’t know our final team until August 31.”
