Pupil Killed and Three Injured in Delta School Building Collapse

Must Read

The family of a young boy named Ojiyovwin Salvation is very sad because their child, who was in Primary 2, passed away suddenly. This happened at Eghereka Primary School, in a town called Ewu, located in Ughelli South Area of Delta State.

Salvation lost his life yesterday because a building with six classrooms fell down. Unfortunately, the building landed on him and hurt three other kids.

People say that the building collapsed because of heavy rain. The classrooms didn’t have a roof, and no one was using them. Thankfully, teachers and adults helped save the other kids very fast.

The leader of Delta State, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, felt very sorry for Salvation’s family. He shared his feelings through his helper, Festus Ahon, saying that what happened was very sad.

He mentioned, “We heard about this very sad event. The Governor shows care for Salvation’s family, the school workers, and the children who got hurt.”

Governor Oborevwori thanked everyone who helped rescue the hurt kids quickly. He said the Local Government Chairman, Dr. Lucky Avweromre, visited the school to help those who survived and met with Salvation’s family.

The Governor said it’s hard to find the right words to make the family feel better. He hopes that God will give comfort and strength to Salvation’s family, the school, and everyone during this sad time. He prays that God’s presence will help them feel less sad.
