A 54-year-old woman named Olakunbi Adene was sadly killed in her house just four days after her birthday.
Olakunbi was well-known for her cooking talents in her town. People found her in her home on Oda Road, Akure, in Ondo State, lying in a pool of blood.
She had two children and was very happy at her birthday party just a few days before this terrible event happened.
A person who lives nearby said Olakunbi was very lively and happy during her birthday. She posted many pictures on Facebook to share her joy. Many people wished her well. It was very sad when we found out she was dead a few days later.
Olakunbi’s husband, Dele Adene, said he was shocked when he heard what happened. He was told that his wife’s body was found in bed covered in blood, which showed she was killed.
Dele felt upset that no one had been arrested. He thought her phone should be tracked to find the people who did this. He was also surprised that no one in the building noticed anything strange.
Their daughter, Tejumade, was also told the sad news about her mom’s death.
The police in Ondo State are aware of this crime and are investigating to find out what happened, said their spokesperson, Funmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya.
