Former soccer player for Arsenal, Theo Walcott, talked about some of the hardest players he had to face when he was playing soccer. He mentioned three players from Manchester United who were really tough to play against.
The first one he talked about was Cristiano Ronaldo. Theo said Ronaldo was one of the hardest players he ever met on the soccer field. Ronaldo was super strong and fast, making it really hard to play against him.
He also mentioned Rio Ferdinand and Patrice Evra. All three of them gave Theo a really hard time during his games.
Theo Walcott, who is now 35 years old, played against Manchester United 23 times. Out of these games, he won four times, tied eight times, and lost eleven times. In his whole career, Theo played 567 games, scored 132 goals, and made 88 assists to help his team.
When he played against Manchester United, he scored three goals and made two assists.
He talked to Bleacher Report and named Ronaldo, Evra, and Ferdinand as the toughest players he ever faced. Theo said Evra was not just good at defending but was also great at moving forward. He found it really annoying to keep up with Evra.
About Ronaldo, Theo said playing against him was tough because Ronaldo was just amazing. He remembered trying to stop Ronaldo along with another player, Justin Hoyte, but it was really hard to manage.
Theo also praised Rio Ferdinand a lot, saying he was probably one of the best defenders England has ever had.
