Premier League: Strachan Criticizes Man Utd Forwards, Compares Them to Messi, Neymar, Mbappe

Must Read

Gordon Strachan, who used to play for Manchester United, isn’t happy with how the team’s forwards are playing. He says they are just “trotting about” on the field.

Strachan thinks Man United’s attack is like Paris Saint-Germain’s old attack with Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe. He doesn’t mean that as a good thing.

Man United has new firepower now. They signed Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna. He joins Marcus Rashford, Rasmus Hojlund, Alejandro Garnacho, Antony, and Bruno Fernandes.

Strachan talked about this on Lord Ping (via GOAL). He said, “When I watch teams like Brighton, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Arsenal, I see their forwards working hard. They press the opponent and make them make mistakes. They are aggressive. Manchester United’s forwards don’t do that.

“We haven’t seen Man United’s forwards doing this under Erik ten Hag. That worries me.

“PSG was like this. Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe just trotted around, and that’s why they never won the Champions League.

“United’s front three make me remember PSG, but it’s not a good memory.”
