Owen Hargreaves, who used to play for Manchester United, praised Alex Iwobi after he scored the winning goal for Fulham in their 2-1 victory against Leicester City on Saturday.
This game was special for Iwobi because it was his 255th time playing in the Premier League, and he made it memorable by scoring a great goal 20 minutes before the game ended.
Iwobi, who is from Nigeria, kicked the ball into the net after his teammate, Antonee Robinson, set him up nicely.
This was Iwobi’s first goal of the season in the Premier League, and it was the 23rd goal he has ever scored in the league.
Hargreaves shared his thoughts on the game with Premier League Productions, saying, “I think Leicester might have some problems because they don’t have enough strong players. Iwobi plays much better at Fulham than he did at Everton, where the team was struggling.”
Hargreaves also mentioned that Fulham is trying to use players like Iwobi, Emile Smith Rowe, and Pereira, and said, “These are all really good players.”
