Fulham manager Marco Silva has said the London club will back Nigeria’s Super Eagles in the AFCON 2023 final

Fulham’s Nigerian stars Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey, have been pivotal in the Eagles’ run to the final.

Both players are expected to be in action as Nigeria look to land a fourth continental title.

Speaking in Friday’s presser ahead of Fulham’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth today (Saturday) Silva admitted both players have been missed.

“Of course we have been watching. It’s mixed feelings for us,” the Portuguese said on Friday, during his press conference ahead of Saturdays league game with Bournemouth.

“It’s been a long time without two key players for us, right now, we are supporting them in the final.”

The Eagles had to rely on penalties to overcome South Africa in the semi-finals.

After a 1-1 draw on regulation time, the three-time AFCON winners emerged 4-2 winners with Stanley Nwabali making two saves.
