POS Operators Cautioned by Police: Transactions Exceeding N500,000 May Cause Issues

Must Read

The police in Delta State have a message for people who run Point of Sale, or POS, businesses. They don’t want you to handle more than N500,000 in one go.

Why, you ask? Well, SP Bright Edafe, who speaks for the police, says doing big money transactions like that could get you mixed up with bad people, like kidnappers.

Let me explain with a story. One time, a person running a POS business took a whopping N4,000,000 from kidnappers. She only made N40,000 from it. Not worth it, right?

Imagine someone using your shop to collect money for doing bad things. That would be scary, and not good for you.

So the police say, “Hey POS people, if you do more than N500,000, you can get into big trouble. Don’t help kidnappers. You’re too important for that.”

The police want you to follow the rules about how much money you can handle. This is really important to stop bad guys from doing bad things.

If your alarm bells ring about something fishy, tell someone. Follow the rules so you won’t get into trouble. The police say you could end up in jail, and that’s not fun at all.
