The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has successfully stopped a dangerous kidnapper and pirate named Ubong Archibong, also known as “Condiment.” He was causing a lot of trouble in the Uruan/Oron waterways of the state.
The police caught him during a shootout at his hideout in the Uyanga Community in Cross River State.
Timfon John, the Police Public Relations Officer in Akwa Ibom, shared this news in a statement on Thursday.
She explained that “Condiment” was the leader of a group called the “bling-bling marine strike force.” This group was behind several bad actions, such as kidnapping a High Court Judge named Joy Unwana, and killing her police guard, Inspector ThankGod Edet. They also murdered the CEO of Emem and Sons Nig. Ltd, and kidnapped his sales representative.
Additionally, the suspect was responsible for the kidnapping of a pharmacist named Joemel and the CEO of Mingles Hotel, Mr. Brown.
The police found a G3 rifle with four bullets on the suspect. His body has been taken to the morgue, and investigations are continuing to catch the other gang members.
