Police Seize 20 AK-47 Rifles from Arms Dealer in Kaduna

The police in Kaduna State caught a bad man who sells illegal guns. They also found 20 homemade AK-47 rifles.

The police officer in charge, ASP Mansir Hassan, said the man’s name is Bitrus Gyang. He comes from Barkin Ladi in Plateau State. The police caught him on September 19, 2024, at a place called Buruku Bridge. They were just doing their regular checks when they found him.

On Friday, ASP Hassan explained that the rifles were hidden in the back of a black Golf 3 car. Bitrus Gyang told the police he had sold illegal guns before, at least three times.

Gyang is helping the police to find the other people involved in selling the guns.

The head of police, Commissioner Audu Dabigi, praised the officers for working hard.

“Bad people like kidnappers and bandits will not be safe anywhere in our state,” he said.
