The Enugu State Police have arrested two people for breaking into cars and stealing items.

The police spokesperson, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, shared this news on Saturday. He said the police also got back some stolen phones and the vehicle the suspects used.

This happened on September 24, 2024, around 4 p.m., thanks to the New Haven Division police team.

The police caught two men, Abuchi Kenneth (27 years old) and Ifeanyi Odu (29 years old), who broke into a car parked on Rangers Avenue in Enugu. They stole a Samsung Galaxy phone and an Infinix phone.

“An initial investigation showed the suspects are from Zuba in Abuja and Nekede in Owerri, Imo State. They secretly broke into the car and took the phones.

“But as soon as the police heard about the crime, they went after the suspects. They caught and arrested them at Otigba Roundabout in Enugu.

“The police got back the stolen phones and also seized the suspects’ car, a Toyota Corolla with the plate number KUJ 614 CF.

“The suspects will be taken to court soon,” Ndukwe added.
