The police in Rivers State have caught four people because a young man disappeared suddenly. This young man is serving his country in a program called the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).

The missing man, named Yahaya Faruq, was working in a town called Ikuru in the Andoni area. One day, he went to his second job at a company called LDM Chinese Mining Company, and then nobody saw him again.

A police officer, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, told everyone on Tuesday from the city of Port Harcourt that they know Yahaya went missing. “Yes,” she said, “we know about Yahaya disappearing.”

The officer also said they have caught at least four people and are checking things to find out what happened to Yahaya. These four people are now with the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), where they are looking carefully at everything.

Many people in Nigeria are worried and want the police to find Yahaya. The police found out he went missing on October 14. A group called the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN) also talked about Yahaya being gone. This group is from a place called Edo and helps students. They want the police to find Yahaya quickly.

The group said that Yahaya was a hard worker. He was helping at a school named Mixed Secondary School in Ikuru Town and also worked part-time at the mining company. But the strange thing is, Yahaya went to work but never came back home. He even signed in at work but did not sign out, which is worrying to everyone.

Faruq’s family and friends are very worried. While they were searching for him, the company, LDM, gave back Yahaya’s bag and phone. The company sent his things to the school where he worked. This makes everyone more worried and unsure about what happened to him, the group said.
