They also found 118 cars that were taken without asking and saved 64 people from kidnappers all over the country.

A big boss in the police, named ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said from Abuja that these arrests happened in many places across Nigeria.

He said, “This shows how much the Nigeria Police wants to keep our country peaceful by catching very bad people. We did a great job catching these criminals.”

“We caught 371 people stealing from others, 186 people taking others away without asking (kidnapping), 242 who did really bad things like killing, and 63 who had guns they shouldn’t have. There were also 217 caught for hurting others in bad ways, and 167 caught being part of secret, bad groups,” he explained. “The police also caught a lot of guns, 210 of them, and bullets, 3,172 of them.”

ACP Adejobi talked about a big win for the police when they caught someone who sells lots of illegal guns. His name is Jubril Musa, and he was in a place called Plateau State.

They got different things from him, like bullets for big guns, a pistol, and some bullets for smaller guns.

Jubril Musa also told the police that he gave these weapons to bad guys who do the kidnappings and steal from people in Plateau State.

The police said they are working hard to make Nigeria a safe place. They are using smart planning and talking to people in the community to fight against crimes.

“With these efforts, we want to make sure there are fewer crimes like stealing, kidnapping, and cybercrimes,” they added.
