Police officers in Delta State caught two men who were buying stolen phones in Warri. These phones were then sold in Niger Republic.
The police found the suspects in Hausa Quarters, Warri, after getting good information.
The two men, Abibu Haruna, age 37, and Sanusi Huruna, age 22, live in Hausa Quarters, Warri. They were caught with a bag that had 55 iPhones, one HP laptop, two Android tablets, and 33 Android phones.
The Delta State Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, said that the men were arrested on July 14, 2023, at around 4:45 pm.
SP Bright Edafe said: “The men told the police they bought the phones and laptop from two armed robbers. The robbers are named Nasiru and Ghala, but we don’t know their full names. The robbers work in Hausa Quarters, Warri.”
“The men also said they send the phones to Niger Republic in a trailer carrying scraps. A man named Agaji helps them in Niger Republic, but we also don’t know his full name.”
