Police Apprehend Alleged Cult Leader in Ogun

Police officers in Ogun State have caught a man they think is in a gang. His name is Olamilekan Akojede, and he is 35 years old. They caught him in a place called Oja Odan, which is in Yewa-North part of Ogun State.

They caught him at 2:30 in the afternoon on Friday.

A police spokesperson named Omolola Odutola told the newspaper DAILY POST about the arrest. She said Akojede is the leader of a gang called the Buccaneers Confraternity, which people also call Alora. He has been on the police watch list for a while.

Odutola said: “The police in Oja Odan have caught the main leader of the Alora gang. His name is Olamilekan Akojede and he is 35 years old. He has been scaring people in Oja Odan. They caught him at 2:30 this afternoon and will be taking him to the main police department for more questions. He has made people afraid and was on our watch list.”

Odutola also said that the police are trying very hard to stop gangs from causing trouble in the state. She asked other gang members to change their ways and start fresh.

“They should learn from what happened to this man who got caught. They should join the amnesty program and become better people for their families,” she said.

DAILY POST also said that last week, gang violence started again in the state and at least three people have died.
