Photos: Pope's coffin arrives for burial in the church of Rome

Pope Francis's coffin arrived at the Basilica of Santa María Maggiore in Rome on Saturday for the burial, after a great funeral ceremony held in the Plaza de San Pedro in the Vatican.

Tribune Online previously reported that the Pope died Monday at the age of 88.

Tens of thousands of people aligned in the streets while the coffin took the basilica in a procession, presenting their final respects to the beloved Pope.

The funeral attended world leaders, including the president of the United States, Donald Trump, and the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

The Pope's burial in the Basilica of Santa María Maggiore marks the end of an era in the Catholic Church.
