A big event happened for a group called the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in a place called Benue State. They had a special meeting to introduce their new leaders. The meeting took place at their office in a town known as Makurdi.
The main person in charge, a man named Mr. Chris Abah, along with 14 other people, are now the new leaders of the PDP in Benue. They took an important promise, called an oath, to help guide the party. A person named Barr Sam Tsumba helped them make this promise and congratulated them after it was done.
These leaders were picked in a special vote that happened on October 3. Some of the other important people who are now leaders include Deputy Chairman, Hon Clement Azuanongo, Secretary, Mr. Moses Audu, Youth Leader, Saater Atser, and Woman Leader, Grace Abine. They will all work together to help the party.
After taking the promise, Mr. Abah, the head leader, told everyone that he wants to make the PDP strong again in Benue State. He asked all the members of the PDP to join hands and work together to be successful by the year 2027.
In the past, there were two different groups in Benue’s PDP, led by different people named Ortom/Moro and Suswan. These groups held separate voting events on October 3. Now, with new leaders, they hope to come together as one big group.
