The leadership of the Labor Party (LP) in the local government of Oluyole of the state of Oyo has said that he did not lose any valuable member after the drop -out of one of his former members, Abdullahi Okedeji.
This was contained in a statement signed jointly by the president of the Local Government Oluyole of the party, Alhaji Abdulrahman Moronkeji, and other executives of the party, including Secretary Peter Olawole, the woman's leader Mrs. Beauty Okobi, the youth leader hehe Ibukun and the officer of Public Relations Adedayo Abdulwahab Arayolo.
“Recently, a former member of our party, an Abdullahi Okededeji, also known as Better Life, in cohort with some PDP leaders, in particular the president of the local government of Oluyole, Eng Akeem Olatunji, organized a dating on PDP in his honor .
“In this event, Abdullahi Okedeji said he has transferred a large part of the structure of the Labor Party to the PDP in Oluyole LG.
“To clarify the record, Abdullahi Okedeji has stopped being a member of the Labor Party since October 2024. He has not been participating in the activities of the party months before his decision to stop being a member of the party.
“It should be noted that those presented as members of LP for the decal were a crowd hired with the exception of three people. And those three people are personal friends of Abdullahi Okedeji who joined LP with him more than 12 months ago. It was difficult for Abdullahi Okedeji to convince any of the party members, including our councilor candidates in the last elections of the local government, to follow him back to the PDP. This was due to the fact that his political ideology of 'Chop Make I Chop' was not well located with the high ideal of the Labor Party and its members.
“It should be noted that Abdullahi Okedeji, aka Better Life, is one of the spies planted by the PDP Oluyole in the Oluyole Labor Party. He came from the PDP to join the party to compete in the presidency in the last elections of the local government, but we saw through his plan and refused to give him the ticket. Rather, we turn it into the vice president's candidate. After the last selection of the local government called the elections, since then he has returned to his payment teacher.
“The fear of the Labor Party in the local government of Oluyole is the beginning of wisdom for the PDP. Although the PDP is in the government in Oluyole, they are still acting in opposition due to the domain of the Labor Party.
The people of the local government of Oluyole have seen through its contract with the PDP and have assured us that the manifesto of the Labor Party for the people of Oluyole is resonating with them. Our membership is swelling every day for that.
“The members and executives of the Labor Party in the local government of Oluyole remain firm with the party and their ideal of good governance for the good of citizens. We are all happy inside the party and we are stronger day by day in preparation for 2027 polls.
