The leader of the INRI Evangelical Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has given a strong warning to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He said that the PDP should not pick former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for the 2027 presidential election.
Primate Ayodele believes that if PDP chooses Atiku, the party could suffer greatly and might even collapse.
In a video on his social media account, Primate Ayodele stated: “PDP, if you want to lose, pick Atiku as your candidate. You will see that you will lose badly. It will be an easy win for the APC.”
He continued, “Atiku is not the solution for PDP in 2027. He is not the solution. If you pick Atiku, then politically, PDP is done for. That would be the end of PDP.”
Atiku has tried many times to become Nigeria’s president.
He became Vice President in 1999, but has never succeeded in becoming the president, despite many attempts.
In 2023, Atiku came in second place, losing to President Bola Tinubu in a very close race.
