PDP Crisis: Sani Suggests Potential Suspension of FCT Minister Wike, Asserting No One Is Above the Party

Must Read

Umar Sani, who works with the media for former Vice President Namadi Sambo, has talked about the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) possibly punishing Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Sani said that PDP now has a disciplinary team ready to work, and they might take action against Wike because he has to follow the party’s rules just like everyone else.

During an interview on Arise TV’s Morning Show, Sani mentioned that there wasn’t a team to look into Wike’s actions when they happened.

But now, a new team led by Chief Tom Ikimi might start looking into members who break the party’s rules.

Sani explained, “People think the problem is just between Abubakar Atiku and Nyesom Wike, but that’s not true.

“The real issue involves the Governors’ Forum, which wasn’t active before but is now working hard to solve the problems.

“Even though a court might stop people from losing their positions, it doesn’t stop the party from suspending or disciplining members.

“There wasn’t a disciplinary team when Wike allegedly didn’t follow the rules.

“Now that we have a team, we should let them do their work first. We can wait and see if they decide Wike needs to face any penalties for what he did.”
