Australia’s player, Alanna Smith, said that her team, the Opals, could not handle how strong D’Tigress played in their Group B match at the 2024 Olympic Games.
Australia lost the game with a score of 75–62 to Rena Wakama’s team.
Smith said they made too many mistakes with the ball during the game.
“Making too many mistakes with the ball was the main problem in the game,” she said after the match.
“We made a lot of mistakes and were not ready for how strong the game was.”
Next, Australia will play against Canada, and Nigeria will play against the host country, France.
