Oxlade: Ghana Has Embraced Me More Than Nigeria [VIDEO]

Must Read

Nigerian singer Oxlade, who creates Afrobeat music, says he feels more appreciated in Ghana than in his own country, Nigeria.

In a recent chat, Oxlade talked about why he chose to do a song with Sarkodie, a famous rapper from Ghana, on his first album called “Oxlade from Africa.”

During this interview, he also talked about some posts he made on a social media platform known as X, where he mentioned that some people in the music industry were not treating him fairly and even trying to hurt his reputation.

Oxlade explained that he wrote those posts because he doesn’t like it when people in Nigeria’s music scene act like they have too much control over others’ careers.

He said, “Honestly, I’ve felt more love from Ghana than Nigeria.”

“I dislike when people think they have too much power over others and try to control their path. Sometimes they expect me to be very respectful when I meet them, but I might not greet them in the way they want.”
