In Ondo State, police officers caught a man named Monday Chukwu, who is 34 years old. He is accused of stabbing his friend, Kefa Ofando, who was 30 years old. This happened because Monday owed Kefa 2,000 Naira and they had a big argument about it.
The argument ended with Monday using scissors to hurt Kefa at a place called Akintola village in the Odigbo area. Sadly, Kefa was seriously hurt and lost a lot of blood. Even though people tried to take him to the hospital quickly, he did not survive.
The head of the police in Ondo, Mr. Oladipo Abayomi, said that what began with angry words ended in a very sad incident. This teaches us how important it is to find ways to solve problems without fighting.
The police team at the Odigbo Divisional Police Headquarters got a call about the incident. They quickly went to action and arrested Monday Chukwu.
They found out that Monday didn’t return the 2,000 Naira he borrowed from Kefa. When Kefa asked for his money back, they argued, and in the heat of the moment, Monday used scissors to stab Kefa in the neck.
