Ondo: Lassa Fever kill 12, more than 100 confirmed cases

No less than 12 people have lost their lives due to Lassa fever in the Ondo state of 112 confirmed cases.

According to the statistical general of the State, Olusola Ajayi, who revealed this, 353 suspicious cases have been reported in the State.

While describing the situation as alarming, Ajayi urged the workers of the State Waste Management Authority to prepare to guarantee the cleaning of the State.

The statistical general also appealed to waste management officials to collaborate with other stakeholders in the health sector to guarantee a healthy environment as part of the ways to reduce the threat.

Meanwhile, the permanent secretary, Ministry of Health, Dr. Adeniran Ikuomola, had revealed a few days ago that the State registered about 400 suspected cases of Lassa fever.
